Merry Christmas and a wonderful 2025!

Merry Christmas and a Wonderful 2025 full of justice, freedom of speech and pruning of the governments’ trees! . . Christmas is the time to give what we have most precious. There was a time when gold, incense, and myrrh were rare, precious and essential in both their practical and spiritual nature. They were used to recognize the essence of Christ and the effort, choices and sacrifices we need to do each day to travel our life toward the Good. In the modern times, where the world seems dominated by a diffuse evil stupidity, the most rare, precious and essential gifts we need to give are justice, freedom and a fight to limit the growing cancer of totalitarian governments. The Wise Men showed us the way to make the world a much better place, where each of us is an equal son of the Lord, just by recognizing the daily choice between Good and Evil. Merry Christmas… was I nice or naughty this year?

Christmas is here. It’s time to think about the past year and see if we had been nice or naughty… but I’m always a nice boy! 😉 I’m so good that this year I received the Claus House Seal of Approval for my 29 years of Christmas photographs! In time for the opening of my new Italian studio! And here as usual my Christmas picture to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a fantastic 2024. I wish you to live in a free world where all the totalitarian dictators, real and in spirit, will be sent out of our way so we can create freely! Merry Christmas to All…

Dear Friends, I wish you a great Christmas, filled with joy and the right personal choices! . This is a strange Christmas with too many people trying to cancel it, some for cultural reasons as the European Commission, others finding excuses in a virus that seem to spread only in specific situations. It is always difficult to find a proper reaction to evil when it’s in charge of our lives, so I was wondering what to do and the question came natural: “What would John Galt do?”. The answer was very easy and so here’s my traditional Christmas image for the year 2021! This year, more than ever, we are in a war, it’s not a traditional war at the moment but a cultural war. One side is the side expressing all the values that permit to appreciate and enjoy Christmas, the other side is the side that is not able to joy and wants to cancel it. Merry Christmas 2018

I heard a noise outside the door, I walked to it, opened the door and there was the newspaper, confused I started to read it… (Click on the image to open a large version) …I woke up sweating from the nightmare, I was sitting on my couch and I immersed myself in my beloved reality. Some years the Christmas reality is happier than the others, this year for me some sadness is in the air filling everything with the emptiness left by the people I loved and are no more with me. But still all is real and I will never change it with a fake safe zone. I love reality because I know I can rationally deal with it and I can follow some little Christmas rituals, as setup a family traditional stone carved Nativity, to still feel the presence of the persons who gave me my life and helped me to become who I’m today. Merry Christmas… for this year and the past 20(ish)!

Every year, since 1995 for Christmas I created a card to send my best wishes to friends and clients. I always went in to the effort with the idea to create a real Christmas card and not a commercial work and I think I succeeded most of the time. Here my cards from 1995 to 2016 with the explanation of what I did, how and why. Obviously my wishes for this year are at the bottom of the post… so if you want a nice year… read it all!!! 😉 1995 This was my first year as professional. I opened my studio in July 1994 and I started to really work and promote myself in 1995. I always had a passion for reconstructing ambiences and mood so also for Christmas I went in that direction and realized a model of a mountain lodge. It was all made in 4″x5″ film with a Cambo Master Plus. I printed the picture to attach to the card in 4″x5″ and you can see here under the black shade the original image and, clear, the crop I used.
